Let the turquoise water draw you, set sail across the endless ocean and clink glasses with new and old friends from all over the world. Inspiration for our unique zebra wood / ebony wood frames with the distinct mirror and sepia lenses, La Paz left an impression on us – probably something about the chilled yet cosmopolitan vibes, those weird looking hammerhead sharks we were swimming with, or maybe it was the endless sunshine for 350 days a year.
Renown for it’s epic seascape which caters for boating, fishing, snorkelling and diving lovers alike, the pristine waters filled with weird and wonderful sea creatures are recognised as amongst the best in Mexico. Lesser known than tourism hotspot Tulum, those keen for a slower, more chilled and casual ambience will be enchanted by this gem.
Embrace the opportunity to chat with the locals of the land, share tacos and tequila using recipes passed on from generations before, and drift downtown along the Malecon on a vintage bicycle. While you’re taking it all in, listen out for the vast assortment of languages overheard – French, Italian, English, Spanish and Portuguese blending together in a quirky, eclectic and fascinating mix.
When you’ve made a few new friends, meander together through the funky stores and boho chic bars, dance the night away at Café Capri while you overlook that gorgeous seascape or join in on a little maleconeando, aka cruising in your automobile with your top down, music up, without a care in the world.
